Me and my student right after the performance. Proud teacher!

This past Friday, May 27th, I had the opportunity to attend a local performance of Disney’s “The Jungle Book” musical. The show was one of the spring musicals put together and performed by Christian Arts and Theatre (CAT) at the Corona Civic Center. One of my voice students was in the show, and I really enjoyed seeing him and the other talented youths perform and sing their hearts out. The entire cast was ages 12 and younger, which really brought a fun, youthful energy to the Disney favorites “I Wanna Be Like You” and “The Bare Necessities.”

I was so proud of my student’s performance and all the other young actors! Performing on stage can be tough, and getting ready for a show requires a lot of lengthy rehearsals and personal preparation. It was great to see the next generation of young musicians shine in their colorful jungle costumes on a creative jungle set design.
